Wide receiver Arnaz Battle missed the first two days of the team's voluntary organized team activities, but has since spoken with head coach Mike Nolan. Nolan expects Battle to be in over the weekend and present for next week's practices.
In other news, former 49ers linebacker Keena Turner is joining the 49ers staff full-time as Vice President of Football Affairs.
Although Turner's playing career ended in 1990, he never left the 49ers family. He has been an active member of the 49ers alumni group, representing the team at public events and helping to assist players as part of the player development program.
In his new role, Keena will be in charge of all programs related to player well-being and success including counseling, faith-based and player development programs.
