49ers Name Coach Nick Alfano of Santa Teresa H.S. Coach of the Week*
The San Francisco 49ers Charlie Wedemeyer Coach of the Week award presented by Kelly-Moore Paints for week eight goes to Nick Alfano from Santa Teresa High School in San Jose.
This past Saturday, the Saints shut out Prospect high school 16-0.
Santa Teresa is now 8-0 overall and 5-0 in League play. The Saints have only allowed 19 points the entire season, the lowest of any California high school. Santa Teresa's defense is fierce, as they have now posted five shutouts in a row.
In addition to being named Coach of the Week, Coach Alfano and the Santa Teresa football program will now receive $1,000 from the 49ers Foundation, along with a $500 gift certificate from Kelly-Moore Paints to go towards beautifying Santa Teresa High School.
