The Collection and Inspiration
The San Francisco 49ers APEX Collection was conceived, designed and brought to life by the members of the 49ers Employee Resource Group, A.P.E.X. (Asian American and Pacific Islander [AAPI] Professional Exchange). This exclusive collection symbolizes the pinnacle of our ancestors' dreams, embodying the values of perseverance, growth and cultural pride. The collection features six distinct retail items: two hats, a satin jacket, a shirt, a hoodie and shorts.
Each piece in the collection showcases a unique floral design intricately woven to represent the 50+ ethnicities that make up the AAPI community. These national flowers illustrate the diverse roots of the community, reflecting a journey to America in search of opportunity and prosperity. The full bloom of the flowers signifies the realization of our ancestors' dreams—success, growth and the ultimate achievement—reaching the "apex" of their lives. These vibrant flowers also pay homage to the flourishing, multicultural nature of the Bay Area, where generations of AAPI communities have thrived and blossomed and continue to do so.

49ers A.P.E.X. Employee Resource Group
49ers Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) aim to amplify diverse voices and foster a more inclusive, equitable environment. A.P.E.X. embodies this vision, providing a platform for growth, professional development and belonging. Seeking to amplify their collective voices through these meaningful pieces, A.P.E.X. board members collaborated on every aspect, from concept and design to marketing strategy. The initial committee included Charis Mangulabnan, Jeremiah Lagasca, Patty Quan, Riya Patel and Sara Jin, with graphic designers Aaron Llavore and Brandon Tam bringing the designs to life.
This collection aligns with A.P.E.X.'s mission to leverage the multicultural identities of its members and unite employees of Asian, Pacific Islander and Asian-Pacific heritage. Through A.P.E.X., members seek to create opportunities for professional advancement, raise awareness about community issues, educate colleagues on diverse cultures and support the AAPI community in the Bay Area through outreach and volunteer initiatives. A.P.E.X. aims to build bridges between its communities, allies, other 49ers ERGs and the broader 49ers corporate culture.
Through this collection, the A.P.E.X. group hopes to offer the Faithful pieces that reflect their cultural pride, personal style and connection to the larger community.
