Take a look as Jeff Deeney of Pro Football Focus provided grades for members of the San Francisco 49ers who impressed in the 33-30 loss to the Green Bay Packers on "Monday Night Football."
1. Marquise Goodwin
Goodwin earned the team's highest grade on the night at 88.4. In his first full game of the season, Goodwin registered four receptions for career-highs in both receiving yards (126) and touchdowns (2). His 67-yard score from C.J. Beathard was his longest reception of the season. Goodwin's 4.67 yards per route run was ranked third best among wide receivers in Week 6.
"Man, I didn't even know how long it was," Goodwin said postgame. "C.J. has that cannon. He let it go, and 67 yards later, it is a touchdown. The offensive line held up in protection. It was just C.J. believing in me enough to throw the ball, and that I would beat the safety and we made it happen."
2. Joe Staley
The 49ers left tackle was a stud while protecting Beathard, earning himself an 88.3 pass blocking grade. His Monday night performance ranked third-best among all NFL tackles in Week 6 and landed on PFF's "Team of the Week."
Staley's opposite bookend was also superb in pass protection, earning an 80.7 overall grade against the Packers defense. McGlinchey did not allow a single sack, hit or hurry for the first time in his career. Over the past three weeks, he has allowed just three hurries, with no sacks or quarterback hits. The rookie has now averaged an 80.0 overall grade through six weeks, the highest of any first round offensive lineman, and was the third 49ers o-lineman named to PFF's "Team of the Week", joining Staley and Laken Tomlinson (79.4).
4. Solomon Thomas
Playing just 26 snaps against the Packers on Monday, Thomas earned the 49ers top grade on defense at 71.1. The second-year defensive lineman totaled three pressures (one hit, two hurries) as well as a run stop.
5. Raheem Mostert
Splitting carries with Matt Breida (ankle), Mostert finished the game with career highs in carries (12) and rushing yards (87) on his 23 offensive snaps. Of his 87 yards, 67 came after contact. Mostert's 5.6 yards per carry after contact was ranked third best among running backs this week.
Kittle was also key in the 49ers success on the ground. In addition to his four receptions, Kittle earned an 83.5 run blocking grade, the highest among all NFL tight ends in Week 6.
Honorable Mentions – DeForest Buckner and Sheldon Day
Buckner and Day tied for a team-high five quarterback pressures. Both defensive linemen totaled four hurries and a sack each against Aaron Rodgers, helping bring the 49ers sack total to 12 on the season.
