49ers Notes
- Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns in Week 2. Garoppolo has thrown for 829 yards and five touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 108.5 in his three home starts with the 49ers.
- Running back Matt Breida recorded his fourth-career 100-yard game against Cincinnati when he ran for 121 yards. Since 2017, Breida is one of three running backs to average five or more yards per carry (Alvin Kamara - New Orleans Saints, Saquon Barkley - New York Giants).
- In Week 2, George Kittle tied Dave Kocourek as the third fastest tight end to reach 2,000 receiving yards in NFL history.
Steelers Notes
- Quarterback Mason Rudolph will be making his first career start on Sunday in place of an injured Ben Roethlisberger (elbow). Mason threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns in the second half against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.
- Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster surpassed Hall of Famer Randy Moss to become the youngest player in NFL history to reach 2,500 yards last week.
- Tight End Vance McDonald led the Steelers in receptions with seven catches and two touchdowns in Week 2.
