The San Francisco 49ers have signed wide receiver Chris Harper to the team's practice squad.
Harper (5-11, 185) originally signed with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2015 out of the University of California. He began the 2015 season on the Patriots practice squad and was later elevated to the team's 53-man roster where he appeared in five games and registered one reception for six yards. He was released by New England on Sept. 3, 2016.
