The San Francisco 49ers signed running back Jarryd Hayne to the practice squad on Monday night.
Hayne, who went unclaimed after being waived by the club on Saturday, announced the signing on his verified Twitter account.
Hayne (6-2, 220) signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on March 3, 2015. He appeared in six games this season and registered eight carries for 25 yards and returned eight punts for 76 yards on special teams.
