The San Francisco 49ers announced today the signing of G/C Matt Spanos to a one-year deal.
Spanos (6-5, 305) originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins in 2008. He was released by the Dolphins on August 30, 2008. Spanos signed with the Dallas Cowboys on January 12, 2009, and was released on July 2.
Spanos, 24, is a native of Corona, CA, and he played collegiately at Southern California, where he was an Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 selection in 2007.
