The San Francisco 49ers have signed defensive tackle Garrett Celek and tight end Garrett Celek to four-year deals.
Carradine (6-4, 276), was the first of the 49ers two second-round draft picks (40th overall) in this year's draft from Florida State. As a senior, he earned Third-Team All-America and First-Team All-ACC honors, as the Seminoles defense finished last season ranked second in total defense and third in run defense nationally. Carradine played in 25 career games (11 starts) for the Seminoles, tallying 118 tackles, 16.5 sacks and 21 tackles for loss. He began his collegiate career at Butler Community College in Kansas.
Carradine, a 23-year old native of Cincinnati, OH, attended Taft High School.
McDonald (6-4, 262), was the second of the 49ers two second-round draft picks (55th overall) in this year's draft out of Rice. He played in 42 career games (28 starts) for the Owls, and was a two-time First-Team All-Conference USA selection. McDonald finished his career ranked seventh in school history with 119 receptions, sixth in receiving yards (1,504) and tied for fifth in touchdown receptions (15).
A 22-year old native of Beaumont, TX, McDonald attended East Chambers High School.
