The San Francisco 49ers continue to find ways to win, including the Week 11 nail biter over the Arizona Cardinals. After trailing 16-0 in the first half, San Francisco managed to fight its way to a 36-26 victory that came down to the final minutes of the contest. Jeff Deeney of Pro Football Focus highlighted several members of the 49ers who put up top grades in the divisional win. Here's a look at seven of Sunday's standouts:
1. Richie James Jr. – 91.0 overall grade
James Jr. only played 10 snaps on Sunday, however his 57-yard catch-and-run helped propel him to a 91.0 overall grade. James Jr. also returned three kicks for a total of 70 yards including a long of 27. James finished the day with a run blocking grade of 84.8 on his five run blocking snaps.
2. Deebo Samuel – 84.4 overall grade
San Francisco's rookie wideout hauled in eight receptions for a career-high 134 yards on Sunday. Six of Samuel's eight catches were for first downs. His 12 missed tackles forced on the season leads all NFL wide receivers. Ten of those 12 forced missed tackles have come in the 49ers last three games. The rookie is averaging 7.2 yards per reception after the catch, which is the most of any receiver with 25-plus receptions on the year. Following Sunday's win, Samuel became the first rookie in franchise history to register at least eight receptions and 100 receiving yards in consecutive games.
3. Jullian Taylor – 77.5 overall grade
Taylor earned the 49ers highest grade on defense on 20 snaps. The second-year defensive lineman tallied two quarterback pressures and two run stops on the day, both tackles for loss.
4. Dre Greenlaw – 75.8 overall grade
Fresh off the Monday night contest where the rookie handed Russell Wilson his second interception of the season, Greenlaw allowed just 22 receiving yards in his six targets in coverage against Kyler Murray and the Cardinal's offense.
5. Jimmy Garoppolo – 75.6 overall grade
Garoppolo completed 34-of-45 passes (75.6 percent) for a career-high 424 yards, a career-high tying four touchdowns and a quarterback rating of 115.4 on Sunday. Garoppolo averaged 10.2 yards per attempt when under pressure against the Cardinals (14-of-19 passing, 193 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, 101.3 passer rating). When using play action the quarterback was 10-of-11, for 151 yards and one touchdown for a 149.1 passer rating.
6. Jaquiski Tartt – 70.9 overall grade
Tartt is coming off of his second-straight contest with a fumble recovery. In addition to the takeaway, the fifth-year defensive back was only targeted once against the Cardinals and allowed one catch for just four yards.
7. Damontre Moore – 70.7 overall grade
Moore sealed the 49ers victory over Arizona in his season debut on Sunday. Moore was signed to the team on Wednesday after the season-ending ACL injury to Ronald Blair III. Late in the fourth quarter, Moore stripped the ball from Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake and Tartt was there for the recovery. Moore also added two quarterback pressures on the day.
