The San Francisco 49ers announced Monday they have re-signed WR Kassim Osgood to a one-year deal.
Osgood (6-5, 220) originally signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2003 and has played in 166 career games (17 starts). During his 11-year career, Osgood has registered 45 receptions for 766 yards and five touchdowns. He has also recorded 134 tackles, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, one blocked punt and one touchdown on special teams.
In 2013, Osgood appeared in 14 regular season games and all three postseason contests for the 49ers, and registered 12 special teams tackles. He recovered a muffed punt in the end zone at Tennessee in Week 7, marking the first fumble recovery for a touchdown in his career. Osgood also blocked his first career punt against Seattle in Week 14.

A 33-year-old native of Boston, MA, Osgood began his collegiate career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo before transferring to San Diego State for his final two seasons.
