The San Francisco 49ers are preparing to begin a new chapter in the 69-year history of the franchise with its first NFL regular season game in Levi's®Stadium on Sunday. In order to share the experience with as many members of the team's Faithful followers as possible, the organization is getting the word out for fans to arrive early to experience a pre-game show like the Bay Area has never seen before.
The 49ers organization is requesting that all ticket holders for Sunday's nationally televised primetime game against the Chicago Bears (NBC, 5:30 p.m. PST) plan to arrive at their seats no later than 5:00 p.m. – approximately 30 minutes before kickoff – for what promises to be an electric pre-game extravaganza beginning promptly at 5:01 p.m.
"The 49ers and our partners at Levi's want everyone to wear their 49ers red and have their 501's seated in Levi's Stadium by 5:01 on Sunday evening," said 49ers COO Al Guido. "Everyone inside the 49ers organization has been planning for this day for a long, long time and we can't wait to start the show at 5:01 with more than 68,500 members of the Faithful right there with us in their seats at Levi's Stadium."
Fittingly, Levi's® is the game's presenting sponsor and will be providing all fans with a Commemorative Inaugural Game Ticket upon entry into the stadium – giving fans another reason to arrive early as 501 lucky "golden tickets" in the giveaways will reward the recipient with an extra special prize.
The high-octane pre-game show features an energizing welcome film produced by the team's in-house production team. The film was developed as a tribute to the franchise and its Faithful, featuring a life-long 49ers fan who grew up to become an Oscar-nominated Hollywood actor. While celebrating the rich, storied history of the 49ers organization throughout, this six-minute film was developed to capture the unique bond between this franchise and its passionate fan base – throughout the Bay Area and around the world.
A host of other surprises are planned as well, including an explosive pyrotechnics show, a cavalcade of celebrity guests from the worlds of football and entertainment, and a Grammy-winning artist to sing the National Anthem.
