Before joining the Golden Gophers, Perry worked with Josh Heupel's The 14 Foundation and its Day of Champions event while serving as the head strength & conditioning coach for the program. In addition, Perry served as a strength & conditioning coach at Marcellus (MI) High School in 2008.
Perry graduated from Western Michigan University in 2009 with a bachelor of science in physical education and a minor in health education. He later earned his master's degree in applied kinesiology with a minor in sport and exercise science at the University of Minnesota in 2014. Perry is a certified strength & conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
