49ers Make 5 Post-minicamp Roster Moves

The San Francisco 49ers have signed OL Ben Gottschalk to a two-year deal and K Corey Acosta and WR Mario Hull to three-year deals. The team also waived WR Darius Davis and T Chris Martin.

Gottschalk (6-5, 293) originally signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on May 19, 2014. He was waived on August 27, 2014 and was later signed to the team's practice squad on September 1, 2014, before being waived on September 9, 2014. He was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on April 8, 2015, and was later waived by the team on May 28. A 23-year-old native of Sherman Oaks, CA, Gottschalk played collegiately at Southern Methodist University, appearing in 47 games (24 starts) along the offensive line.

Acosta (6-0, 190) joins the 49ers as an undrafted free agent from the University of Southern Mississippi. He finished his collegiate career with 43 field goals made and 201 points. As a senior in 2014, he set career highs in field goals made (19) and total points scored (78). A 23-year-old native of Memphis, TN, Acosta attended Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN) High School.

Hull (6-1, 200) joins the 49ers as an undrafted free agent from Rice University. In three seasons with the Owls, he registered 61 receptions for 901 yards and eight touchdowns. In 2014, Hull set career highs in receptions (32), receiving yards (621) and touchdowns (eight). A 23-year-old native of Altair, TX, Hull attended Altair Rice Consolidated High School.

Davis (5-11, 212) was signed as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2015.

Martin (6-5, 303) was signed to the 49ers practice squad on December 10, 2014, where he spent the remainder of the season. He signed a reserve/future contract with the team on December 30, 2014.
