After Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, 49ers fans will have their first chance to watch the 49ers official live postgame show immediately following each and every game, "49ers Postgame Live" on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.
The 16 shows, hosted by Gary Radnich, former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown and 49ers alum and commentator Eric Davis, will feature a prominent on-field set during all regular season home games. The show will air from the Comcast studios in San Francisco during away games with reports from the locker and interviews with key players, coaches and executives.
Creating a live postgame show is very important to the 49ers as on many occasions, network obligations conflict with a station's ability to give analysis of the game immediately after its conclusion.
"The 49ers have never had a live postgame show following each and every game," 49ers senior manager of broadcasting Bob Sargent said. "Oftentimes, the local stations don't have the ability to air shows like this following the game. Take the Washington game from last year for example when Jed York was announced as team president and Mike Singletary was named the head coach. We weren't able to broadcast that information because the network had to cut to its studios in New York. That won't be the case any more. Our fans deserve a postgame destination point that they can count on each and every Sunday."
In addition to breaking news and locker room reaction, 49ers Postgame Live will also be a great source of entertainment to further enhance fans experience on game days.
