The San Francisco 49ers have announced the launch of their Faithful Filmmaker Contest for the 2012 season. This contest, for aspiring filmmakers, gives fans the opportunity to create and submit a 49ers-themed short film (maximum length of 5 minutes) to potentially be debuted during a 49ers home game this season at Candlestick Park in front of 65,000 fans. In addition to having their film featured on game day, winners and a guest will be treated to a VIP game experience.

"The 49ers Faithful Filmmaker contest was inspired by the wonderful film Tom Stock created about the team's victory over the Saints in last year's playoffs," said 49ers Chief Operating Officer Paraag Marathe. "We are always looking for ways to enhance the game day experience for all, and this contest actually allows our fans to personally contribute to that effort. Any fan with a camera phone and access to the Internet now has the opportunity to help create the game day experience for their fellow Faithful fans."

To enter the 49ers Faithful Filmmaker Contest, fans can submit their short video entry online at 49ers.com.

The 49ers Faithful Filmmaker's first winner was Tom Stock, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Tom watched his *49ers Win. Everyone Goes Nuts *film about the 49ers epic win over the Saints in the 2012 NFC Divisional Playoff game, on the Candlestick Park video board during half-time of the team's preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings on August 10, 2012.
