Following a tragic incident this past March to the daughter of former Baltimore Ravens tight end, Todd Heap, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch is enlisting "The Faithful" for their support.
Holly Heap, the tight end's late daughter, would have celebrated her fourth birthday on Wednesday May 3. The Heap family is remembering her contagious spirit, and Lynch has encouraged all 49ers fans to get involved.
The Hugs from Holly campaign, promoting random acts of kindness, will launch on Holly's birthday.
Holly was known to "give the best hugs," and her family is encouraging supporters to wear pink and spread joy through posting photos on social media with the hashtag #HugsFromHollyDay.
May 3, as we honor and celebrate Holly, here's how the Heap family encourages you to get involved on the "HOLLYday":
1. Wear PINK in Holly's honor.
2. Make a plan to share hugs and spread love & joy through random acts of heartfelt kindness for those in your community. Smile more. Compliment somebody. Write a kind note. Share treats (or chicken nuggets). Do a free lemonade stand. Leave a bigger tip than usual. Pay for the person behind you in the drive-thru. Donate a book in Holly's honor. Turn up the music and dance… the list is endless. Be creative!
3. Capture your family spreading joy and post your pictures using the hashtag #HugsFromHollyDay. --
