The 49ers Foundation and the 49ers Foundation Honorary Chairman and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice have announced the 1st and Bowl Challenge presented by NRG, a fan-friendly bowling event benefitting the 49ers Foundation charitable programs. The event, which will take place on Monday, November 5th, 2018, at Bowlmor Cupertino, will allow fans and local Silicon Valley businesses to set up bowling teams of six with a current or former 49ers player or other local sports celebrity serving as "Celebrity Bowlers."
"I'm proud to team up again with the 49ers Foundation's efforts through charitable events that help Bay Area kids in-need," said 49ers alumnus Jerry Rice. "It'll be a fun experience teaming up with the Faithful, former teammates and current players to support youth programming across the Bay Area."
Spectator tickets start at $49, while corporate sponsorship levels provide teams with up to two lanes. The event will also have complimentary food, drinks and fan gifts, while attendees can take photos with all five of the franchise's Lombardi Trophies. All funds raised at this event will support the charitable programs of the 49ers Foundation.
"The 49ers Foundation is invested in bringing unique and exciting experiences to the Faithful while growing the foundation's impact in the San Francisco Bay Area beyond the tens of thousands of youth we reach year over year," said 49ers Foundation executive director Justin Prettyman. "49ers Foundation's 1st and Bowl Challenge will provide fans the opportunity to bowl alongside their favorite alumni and players, all the while helping us educate and empower as many local youth we can."
