The San Francisco 49ers announced that DT Tony Jerod-Eddie has signed a one-year exclusive rights tender.
Jerod-Eddie (6-5, 301) originally signed with the 49ers as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 7, 2012. He has appeared in 32 games (four starts) over the past three seasons, registering 100 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery. In 2014, he appeared in all 16 games (two starts) and finished the season with 45 tackles
A 25-year-old native of DeSoto, TX, Jerod-Eddie played in 51 games (38 starts) at Texas A&M, where he registered 148 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. As a senior, he earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors.
