The San Francisco 49ers announced on Wednesday their community relations events for the month of September. Giving back to the community has always been paramount to the San Francisco 49ers and, to further this mission, throughout the 2010 season the team's community efforts will focus on RESPECT for families, schools and the community throughout the Bay Area.
"Giving back to the Bay Area community and helping to show our youth the value of respect for families, schools and the community is extremely important to our organization and our players," said Joanne Pasternack, 49ers Director of Community Relations and the 49ers Foundation. "The events we have scheduled for the month of September will be a great start to a season, filled of opportunities for our players and staff members to give back to the community that supports us each season."
In September, the 49ers will participate in several school-related community events in the Bay Area. San Francisco tight end Vernon Davis, additional 49ers players and McConaughey will lead high energy football and fitness drills, facilitate a nutrition discussion and pose for pictures and sign autographs for the kids of the 49ers Academy.
