The Hayne Plane is all set for takeoff.
Following a week of uncertainty leading up to the game, Jarryd Hayne's name was not included among the San Francisco 49ers announced list of inactive players on Monday night.
The former Australian rugby league star will make his NFL regular season debut against the Minnesota Vikings.
In four preseason games, Hayne led the 49ers with 175 rushing yards. He also averaged 18.1 yards per punt return on nine attempts.
Earlier this week, Jim Tomsula told reporters that Hayne's status would come down to the first-year player's versatility.
"Very confident in his ability to field a punt, but again, how much else can you do? What can you do for the team?" Tomsula said. "The things that we're doing this week, do they fit your skill set? That's where that all comes down to in my head."
Another key takeaway from the inactives list was Tramaine Brock's absence. The cornerback will start on Monday after dealing with a hamstring injury and being listed as probable.
The only lineup changes were for the Vikings: center Joe Berger for John Sullivan, linebacker Gerald Hodges Jr. for Audie Cole and safety Andrew Sendejo for Robert Blanton.
San Francisco's inactives are as follows:
WR DeAndrew White
RB Mike Davis
CB Shareece Wright
G Brandon Thomas
NT Mike Purcell
C Nick Easton
LB Corey Lemonier
Minnesota's are as follows:
QB Taylor Heinicke
WR Stefon Diggs
LB Edmond Robinson
T Jeremiah Sirles
TE Chase Ford
DE Justin Trattou
The 49ers and Vikings have played 41 times in the regular season, with Minnesota holding a 21-19-1 advantage. San Francisco, however, has won four of five postseason meetings.
