The San Francisco 49ers announced they have removed LB Aaron Lynch from the Roster Exemption List. In order to make room on the roster, the team has placed LB NaVorro Bowman on the Injured Reserve List.
Lynch (6-6, 270) has appeared in 30 games (16 starts) since he was drafted in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft by San Francisco. In 2015, he saw action in 14 games (13 starts), registered 46 tackles and tied for the team lead with 6.5 sacks.
Bowman (6-0, 242) started in each of the team's first four games this season where he registered 35 tackles, two passes defensed, one interception, one sack and one forced fumble.
