The San Francisco 49ers announced on Saturday that they have activated guard/center Daniel Kilgore from the Injured Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List to the 53-man roster. In order to make room on the roster, the team waived linebacker Shayne Skov.

After starting the first seven games of the 2014 season, he was placed on the Injured Reserve List on Oct. 25, 2014. This season, he was placed on the Injured Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List on Aug. 31.
The 27-year-old native of Kingsport, Tenn., played collegiately at Appalachian State, where he appeared in 48 games (29 starts) for the Mountaineers.
Skov (6-3, 247) appeared in each of the team's first 11 games this season and registered four tackles on special teams.
