San Francisco 49ers Charitable Giving

The San Francisco 49ers Charitable Giving Committee is committed to supporting communities across the Bay Area and beyond through annual philanthropic efforts. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we can only consider donation requests that meet our specific guidelines.

How to Apply

  • All donation requests must be submitted through our Giving Request Portal. Requests made via phone, email, or mail will not be considered and will be redirected to the portal.

Donation Request Criteria:

Eligibility

  • Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in California with tax-exempt status under federal law to be considered.

Submission Process

  • All requests must be submitted online at least 60 days prior to the event or procurement date.
  • We do not accept requests via fax, email, telephone, or paper submissions.
  • Donations are prioritized for organizations located in and supporting Northern California and the San Francisco 49ers territories.

Limitations

  • Nonprofit organizations may submit one (1) donation request per 12-month period.
  • Requests for support over $50,000 will not be considered.

Exclusions:

We do not provide funding for:

  • Political and religious affiliated organizations
  • Elementary and secondary schools cannot be funded directly; programs administered within a school environment by a separate 501(c)(3) organization may be considered.
  • Capital expenditures (CAPX) requests
  • Multi-year commitments
