How do you spend your time outside of Gold Rush?
I am such a foodie. I love all types of food, so I always like trying new food and coffee spots with my friends. I also love taking hot Pilates a few times a week since it's my favorite workout class.
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of making this team! I have been dancing since I was 2 years old, so making this team proved to myself that hard work does pay off if you put your heart and everything you have to accomplish your goals. It is even more special because the 49ers are my home team, so it is a dream come true being able to be a part of this organization that I watched on TV and in person growing up with my family. I am truly just grateful every day to be surrounded by an amazing team and coaches!
Tell us more about your job.
I am a project scheduler in the construction industry. I make sure my projects are going according to plan with progress and within budget. Being a woman in construction has been very rewarding because there are only about 11% of women in this industry and I'm proud to be a part of that percentage!
What's something our fans would be surprised to learn about you?
I did martial arts for 8 years growing up and have a black belt.
What impact do cheerleaders have during a game and/or in the community? On game day, cheerleaders impact the game by getting the crowd going with excitement and energizing the fans. They give positive energy and keep the fans engaged with key plays during the game. Cheerleaders provide the fans with exciting performances during breaks as well!
Who is YOUR biggest cheerleader?
My biggest cheerleaders are my family. They always
support me with everything I do and will be there every step of the way.
How has being a part of Gold Rush affected your life?
Gold Rush has been a part of my life for less than a year, but it has already impacted my life in so many amazing ways. I have met the best people through this organization. My whole team is full of amazing people who inspire me. I am also guided by my amazing coaches and they have given me opportunities that I am so thankful for. I am so lucky to be a part of this amazing organization cheering for my home team.
Who is a woman in sports that inspires you?
Caitlin Clark inspires me because she is
changing the game for women's basketball and it's exciting to be able to witness it in real time. She is known for being a high scorer and her playing style makes it fun for people to watch, which is why there has been more popularity around women's basketball these past couple of seasons. She is challenging traditional expectations of what women's basketball should look like and it's so inspiring to see because I could only imagine the amount of work she has put in her whole life to get to where she is today.
