What is your favorite non-profit organization and why?
The Big Cat Rescue organization is one of my favorites. This organization helps conserve these amazing animals. They help rescue all big cats that are endangered and nurse them back to health. They also help prevent their extinction. Their goal is to rescue, cure, and release. Exotic animals are a passion of mine and at one point in my life I considered switching my major to Zoology.
I do! I have three amazing dogs. The eldest is a black Labrador and he's the sweetest most obedient boy in the world, and his name is Onasis. The second is Minnie she's a blonde chihuahua mix and she loves belly rubs. And lastly Channel, our Jack Rusell Terrier she is just a ball of energy and she just turned one this past May.
What's something our fans would be surprised to learn about you?
I think something the fans would be surprised to learn about me is that I'm a very adventurous person. I love anything that just gives you that "rush" feeling. Haha didn't mean to be puny. I enjoy cliff diving, skydiving, bungee jumping, cage diving with sharks, and four wheeling.
What does it mean to be a Gold Rush cheerleader?
It's unreal to have the opportunity to do what you love and work with an organization that is so respected and always gives their all. Being a Gold Rush member gives me the opportunity to meet countless amazing people from all over the world. Gold Rush creates a platform for me to share my passion and inspire those who dream of wearing these boots I worked so hard for. I will never take what I have for granted and It's a dream come true to dance my heart out every week!
Who is YOUR biggest cheerleader?
My biggest cheerleader would have to be my cousin Sharon. She's like a sister to me and she has been at all my performances and supported me all of my life. I can always find her in the crowd and having her huge smile there to support me and hear her say how proud she is of me is the best feeling in the world.
What advice would you give to future aspiring Gold Rush?
My advice would be to not give up on yourself. Start training and researching about the organization as soon as you can don't wait until the last minute. Surround yourself with other passionate and hardworking people. Walking into auditions be yourself and challenge yourself to open up. ALWAYS go full out and don't be intimidated by the others no matter if you've been dancing all your life or for only a couple months. You're there to grow and have fun! Make new friends and if someone catches your eye, tell them! Go after your dream with all your heart and you'll see what you can accomplish.
