How do you spend your time outside of Gold Rush?
Outside of Gold Rush, I also love to teach dance classes and choreograph. I teach students of all ages, ranging from kids to adults, and of all levels, from beginning to advanced. Throughout the year, I love teaching workshops and weekly classes for adults, while in the summer, I do more choreography and private lessons when kids are on summer break.
Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born in San Jose, raised in Fremont, went to college in Palo Alto, and now live in San Francisco! I've spent my whole life hopping around the Bay Area and have loved every city I've visited.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
During my rookie season on Gold Rush, I was also honored to receive a company-wide award for excellence in analytics and working with data. The award ceremony happened to be the day right after our Monday night football win against the Rams, so it was an extra special couple of days!
Tell us more about your job.
I work on a social media/entertainment app as a Product Manager. I spend my days brainstorming new product ideas, writing specifications for engineers and designers, and analyzing performance metrics. My favorite part is collaborating with coworkers across the world and working with globally recognized brands like Vogue and the Olympics. Most of all, I love working on products that millions of people interact with and enjoy every day!
Do you have any pets? Tell us about your favorite furry friends…
A week after getting home from Super Bowl LVIII in February, I adopted my dog, Jacques! He's a 3-year-old terrier/basenji mix who loves to run, cuddle, and chew on bones. It's his first NFL season in our household, and we already know he's going to be the biggest Niners fan all season long.
What does it mean to be a Gold Rush Cheerleader?
Being a Gold Rush Cheerleader means becoming part of a symbol larger than any individual dancer! Each game day, I find myself in awe of what Gold Rush means to people—from little boys and girls who are at their first NFL game ever to season ticket holders who have attended dozens of 49ers games over the years. It is truly an honor to represent the 49ers and to bring positive energy to every single event.
Who is your favorite 49ers player?
My favorite 49ers player is Christian McCaffrey. Because I also got to cheer him on from the sidelines while at Stanford, it was a great full-circle moment when he came back to the Bay during my rookie season and immediately made an unforgettable impact.
Tell us about your journey of becoming a Gold Rush cheerleader.
I have been dancing on a team since I was 9 years old, including being on the Stanford Dollies dance team while I was in college. Amidst graduating during the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself missing being on a team and dancing for a packed football stadium. I set my sights on auditioning for Gold Rush and am so happy to have found my place on this team!
What do you like most about the 49ers organization?
One of my favorite things about the 49ers organization is that we are leaders in many different spaces in addition to being one of the strongest teams in the league. The 49ers organization is a leader in areas like sustainable technology with Levi's® Stadium and diversity in sports with the 49ers Foundation and campaigns like "Football for All" and I am incredibly proud to represent such an awe-inspiring team.
Tell us about your favorite community appearance that you've attended as a Gold Rush Cheerleader.
My favorite community appearance was Golden Getaway with the 49ers Foundation. It was a magical weekend, especially since we raised a record-breaking $2.5 million for Bay Area youth. My highlights were doing 49ers PREP football drills with the players and kids, teaching a Gold Rush routine to the kids, and visiting the donkeys at Carmel Valley Ranch!
