How do you spend your time outside of Gold Rush?
I love watching movies at home and at the theater with my family. I also have a passion for vintage shopping!
Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in San Jose! I briefly moved to Queens, NY, for college but soon moved back home. I am so proud to be from the Bay Area and its representation of diversity.
What is a non-profit organization you're involved in and why did you choose to get involved?
Since middle school, it has been a priority to give back to my community through many forms of charity. My mom and I were a part of our local National Charity League (NCL) chapter, which gave us a deeper dive into philanthropy, culture, and leadership! From animal care, disaster relief, and assisting people of all walks of life- my favorite had to be the work I got to work on the House of Grace program that provides housing for women who are in difficult situations and also have children.
Who or what inspires you?
Knowing that every day is a fresh start is very comforting to me. I also love exploring and learning new things about the complexities of human nature by helping others and setting goals for myself!
What's something our fans would be surprised to learn about you?
I danced with Paula Abdul in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2022! As a fellow tapper, I have been immensely inspired by her from a young age. I would watch all her videos and loved learning about her dance career and seeing the impact she has made in the dance world firsthand. It is safe to say I was very star-struck!
What does it mean to be a Gold Rush Cheerleader?
Being a Gold Rush Cheerleader is more than cheering on a very talented team and dancing on game days. It's also about representing an incredible organization with pride, passion, and a sense of community that supports the Bay Area. We consistently strive to be our best both on and off the field, honoring the hard work and dedication of the entire 49ers family. It's a true privilege to support and reflect the commitment of such an exceptional team.
What impact do cheerleaders have during a game and/or in the community?
We are blessed with the unique responsibility of keeping spirits high during game days. Our impact adds an extra layer of energy and enthusiasm to the game day experience, establishing a positive and exciting atmosphere. Beyond the field, we also have the opportunity to give back to the community through outreach and charity events, where we can inspire and make a positive impact. Overall, being a cheerleader is about making a meaningful difference wherever we go!
Who is YOUR biggest cheerleader?
I feel incredibly lucky and blessed to have my entire family as my biggest cheerleaders throughout my dance journey! Being born and raised as 49ers fans alongside my cousins and having my mom as a former Gold Rush Cheerleader from '89-'97, makes this experience even more special. Knowing that my family is always by my side brings me immense comfort. We truly embody the spirit of being Faithful to the Bay!
Who is a woman in sports that inspires you?
A woman in sports who I truly admire is Olympic gold medalist Sha'Carri Richardson. Her tenacity, resilience, and undeniable talent on the track is totally extraordinary. Sha'Carri's ability to overcome obstacles and keep performing at such an elite level is a true testament to her strength and determination, which I believe is all that it takes to become an athlete. Her journey is a powerful reminder of the impact and perseverance of self-belief in achieving your goals.
