Harpreet Basran is in her eleventh season with the 49ers and currently serves as Chief People Officer. In her role, she manages the people operations department, which handles all aspects of the employee life cycle, including employee relations, benefits administration, compensation analysis, recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and diversity, equity & inclusion for the team and the stadium management company.

Basran initially joined the 49ers as a human resources generalist in 2013 and held positions of increasing responsibility during her tenure with the franchise. In 2022, she received a promotion to her new C-Suite title and was named to the Silicon Valley Business Journal's Women of Influence Awards. In 2023, she was featured in SBJ's List of Leaders in DEI and Transform's Top 10 Most Inspiring Leaders.

Before joining the 49ers, Basran was with Foster Farms, managing employee relations at one of the manufacturing plants in Fresno, CA.

Basran is originally from Turlock, CA, and received her BS in Business Administration and MBA from California State University, Stanislaus. She now resides in San Jose, CA.
