The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed CB Perrish Cox to a one-year deal.
In 2013, Cox appeared in nine regular season games and all three postseason contests for the 49ers, while also playing in two regular season games for the Seattle Seahawks. In addition, he made his first career postseason start in the Wild Card matchup at Green Bay.
In 42 career regular season games (nine starts), Cox has registered 76 tackles, 16 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one interception. He's also contributed on special teams, returning 12 kickoffs for 254 yards (21.2 average).
A 27-year-old native of Waco, TX, Cox played collegiately at Oklahoma State University, where he appeared in 48 games (36 starts). As a senior in 2009, Cox started all 11 games and led the nation with 19 passes defensed.
